Cezar F. Ciobîcă, born in 1971, in Romania, lives and works in Botoșani as teacher and author. He began writing haiku in 2008 and his poems have appeared on several websites (Haiku Heute, Chrysanthemum, Sketchbook, Mainichi Daily News, Tinywords, Asahi Haikuist Network). Some authors have been mentioned in our HFGT-news or are haijin of German speaking origin and write in other languages, but do not appear yet in our list of HFGT-portraits. If you are one of these, just mail to haikufromgermantongues (at) freenet (dot) de and send your three published haiku in English. Please add a short biography and up to two links leading to your blog, homepage, or member-side.

If you are an author of German speaking origin and you just want to promote your blog or homepage here: fair enough - send an adress (but make sure to offer a link, which leads to content in English).

About HFGT

There are many authors in Germany, too, who like to write haiku. Yet it seems to be quite difficult to get a general idea of their works in English. And it is this very objective that we want to achieve by our blog.

In order to give at least a certain impression of the particular range covered by haiku from German tongues to a wider international audience, Heike Stehr and Ralf Bröker present haiku in English.

The both also ask haijin of some good reputation to submit three of their best haiku in English translation, a short biography, and one or two links. If any of the selected haiku was already published before the author is requested to quote its credits.

Other haiku from German tongues written in English: feel free to have a great time with Chrysanthemum, the great biannual German/English online-magazine. And: Many German haiku-writers are presented on DHG-Mitgliederseiten.
